Here is a post from Sandrine answered by a Guest:
Hi everyone,
my name is Sandrine. I would simply like to know if anyone has beauty recipes of Sissi. You know, like what she used for a shampoo, what perfume she wore... Any recipe she would have used. In the Her Story pages I read she did masks of strawberries but does anyone know of other tricks she used?
Hello Sandrine, I am not exactly sure about other recipes, but I know that Sissi always used a perfume made of violets (she also liked to wear that colour).A specific brand was never mentioned in any book I ever read about her (and i read a lot,hahah)..I dont think they had brands at that time.Hope this helps. Katarina

An interesting topic! Thank you for creating it. I have once read that Elizabeth was afraid of losing her hairs, and that she would wash them with some mixture of raw eggs and bread.... But I want to ask about her sisters. What did they do to preserve their beauty? Did any of them follow her recipes, especially Mathilda, as I like her immensely?

HI
I only remember reading that Sissi would sleep with a moist towel tied around her waist to keep thin...and how would that work, I have no idea!! Does anyone have a clue?!

How can a wet towel make a human thin? Wel...., if one ties it tight round the waist and doesn't breathe during the night..., probably it may help! I have only tried wearing a corset, which limited my own waist a lot, but it resembled a nightmare! After two years I decided that I prefer breathing!

The «shampoo» that Sissi used to wash her hair had raw eggs and brandy, among other things, not bread.

Hello, I read that Sissi used masks of smashed straberries on the skin of her face to keep it young looking. Has anyone tried that?!
