A curious theme to discuss.... And thank you for posting such excellent photos. I have many pictures of Arielle Dombastle as Sissi in "L'imperatrice rebelle" on the computer..., and it was that very film, which produced a special impression on me. She was unbelievably beautiful. Probably the film didn't coinside with the biography of Elizabeth(I didn't like the actor playing count Andrassy - as I am very fond of the real Andrassy, and much in the film was simply exagerated), but Arielle Dombastle became a magnificent empress of Austria. Her manners, movements, the way she spoke reflected my "idea of Elizabeth". Somebody may find her different from Sissi, but, probably, the appearance is not the main thing in reproducing the whole image. Unfortunately I have only seen Romy Schneider and Arielle Dombastle as Elizabeth, but certainly I prefer the second. Romy Schneider is a brilliant actress..., but to my mind she was "too ideal" as Sissi. And does anybody know any other films about Elizabeth, or can tell something about the movies with Ava Gardner and Erna Morena(I have never heard of her)?
